TagZ Foods, a Bengaluru-based urban GenZ snacking brand, is aggressively expanding its product offerings and has announced the launch of hemp-based cookies called #CookieZ. These #CookieZ will be only on Swiggy Instamart and www.tagzfoods.com until 18th Aug, 2022.

#CookieZ are crafted with the goodness of hemp and filled with delectable dark chocolate. These #Cookiez contain hemp, which is rich in healthy fats, including omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids known for improving heart health by reducing cholesterol, blood pressure, and triglycerides.

Launching the product during an Instagram live, Shark Tank’s Namita Thapar, who is also an investor in TagZ Foods, said, “Hemp-based foods are on the rise globally for their health benefits, and is considered a super food too. It is heartening to see new age companies creating products that are not only better-for-you but also equally tasty. Consumers can now order these #CookieZ on Swiggy Instamart and have it delivered immediately for their midnight sweet cravings.”

Founded by Anish Basu Roy and Sagar Bhalotia in 2019, TagZ Foods is the first brand in India to manufacture popped potato chips that are 50% less fat, international gourmet dips and a range of premium bar snacks.

The Bengaluru-based TagZ Foods that counts Dexter Angels, Agility Ventures, Venture Catalysts, along with Ashneer Grover, Arjun Vaidya and Namita Thapar as its investors is planning expand its product line, production capacity and strengthen its distribution to other cities in the country.

It is claimed that the startup utilises cutting-edge food technology to make popped potato chips that have no cholesterol, no transfat, no artificial colors, or preservatives.

Talking about the launch, Anish Basu Roy added, “TagZ has been registering a healthy growth with 10X increase in volumes. We focus on urban households of the country through an omni-channel strategy that includes more than 30 online partners and over 2,000 offline stores. With our complete range of fitter chips, dips, chocolates and cookiez we are addressing the consumers’ needs in their most-loved categories.”

TagZ, which was one of the participants in Shark Tank India, also has two ranges of popped chips – one of classic Indian flavours such as Masala, Cream Onion and Salt, and the other, a range of international bar snacks such as Beer n Barbeque, Thai Vodka Tom Yum and Italian Wine ‘n Cheese that are quite a rage amongst youngsters. It also crafts International Gourmet Dips in flavours such as pepper jack and garlic aioli.

Roy, further added that TagZ brings in global innovation in food-tech for the Indian GenZ consumers, with its lips-smacking and better-for-you snacking experiences. TagZ has seen a super successful launch of its Dark Chocolate CigarZ recently and hopes to replicate similar success with its hemp-based #CookieZ.
