Ahmed El Sheikh to Head Middle East Business Unit; Jagrut Kotecha Takes the Reins as CEO for PepsiCo India. This planned transition reflects PepsiCo’s global strategy and commitment to dynamic leadership.

A significant change in leadership has been announced by PepsiCo India in its executive team. Beginning in March 2024, Ahmed El Sheikh, the CEO of PepsiCo India, will step down after nearly seven successful years in the position to take on new duties within the company as the CEO of the Middle East Business Unit. 

In his place, Jagrut Kotecha, who is currently PepsiCo’s Chief Commercial Officer for Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia (AMESA), will assume the role of PepsiCo India’s CEO. As part of a series of leadership changes throughout AMESA, this one, which reflects PepsiCo’s dynamic and forward-thinking global approach, has been carefully planned and was communicated to the staff of the India recently.
